Objective Five

Adapt, export, integrate, and optimize game art and animation assets (including shaders and lighting) into 2D and 3D game projects working within a production pipeline and the confines of a project’s game engine, tools and other constraints.

Unboxing, an animated short was a group project that I worked on. I focused on unwrapping the assets as well as texturing them. However, I also helped create some of the models such as the garbage truck, and smaller environment assets. I also animated the box traffic cop!

For Traffic Cop VR during production studio, optimization was a big deal. The game is being made to run on standalone Oculus Quest 2, which means assets would have to be super optimized in order to ensure that the game could run smoothly on the Quest 2 standalone.

For my student innovative project, I recreated the Grosses Schauspielhaus, an old theater in Berlin that was torn down. Not many people got to experience being inside the theater and viewing the unique architecture the theater had. I used Unreal Engine 5 as well as Virtual Reality in order to be able to give the user a better experience!

Futuristic Interior

This futuristic interior utilizes modular pieces in order to create a dome-like shape. The interior is based on a spaceship command center with a hatch door in the middle. It also features two textures made in Substance Designer!

Ancient Environment

In this ancient environment project, I created it with the idea of a village at the top of a mountain that is around a magical statue that has a powerful crystal. This project was assembled within Unity.

Futuristic Environment

In this project, I created a modular futuristic environment set on the inside of a laboratory within a space station. The centerpiece features an animated texture. The story behind this is that the centerpiece is a random energy blob found out in space that has been brought into this laboratory for testing. That blob then broke through the vat was placed in.
