Objective Six

Establish collaboration, mentorship, and professional leadership skills by working with other disciplines to deliver highly polished and completed projects.

I spent two semesters working on Traffic Cop VR. During the first semester, I worked as an artist, and during the second I became project lead for the project. I was very happy I took the opportunity to be the project lead as I learned so much about what it is like to be a project lead. Organizing the team, making sure everyone is not only happy, but having an enjoyable time working on the project were some of my favorite things I did as project lead.

As apart of the Traffic Cop VR team, we ran into issues for when it came to importing assets. We hit a big roadblock as we had overlapping UV issues as well as lightmap issues. I created a tutorial video that helped solve this issue as well as demonstrates how to avoid it in the future!

Unboxing was the first group project where I took a lead role. I ensured that everyone was meeting the deadlines so that we could get the project done on time without having to worry about crunching work. I also provided assistance when needed such as helping solve rigging issues, implementations, etc. While it wasn't a direct leadership role, my team members agreed that I took on the more leadership-based tasks.
